It may be that this has been covered in a different thread, and if so feel free to mark this one as spam and get it removed. However, I recently picked this tip up on another forum and thought it was exceptionally useful, so I thought I would post it here on the off chance that it hasn't been posted before.
As all PS3 owners will know, it is not possible to 'purchase' PS4 content from PS Plus direct through PS3 consoles. However, you can still purchase PS4 content through the website directly whether you have a PS4 or not. Then when you do get a PS4, you will be able to scroll back through your purchase history and download all of the free games from the months when you didn't actually have the console.
So for those who don't have it, here's the link;
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-gb/your-instant-game-collection/cid=STORE-MSF75508-PLUSINSTANTGAME|platform~ps4|
Go there, sign in with your PSN account information, and then purchase all of the PS4 content. Then when you do get a PS4 in future, you will have a library of games ready to download.
In case it wasn't obvious, the same trick works with PS Vita games, although you can download them onto your PS3 anyway, so there's no need to go through the website.
So yeah, hopefully this at least helps a few people who might not have been aware of it before. It could potentially save quite a few pennies.
