Wonga loan advice please!

Son took out a wonga loan two years ago, paid it and the interest back with no problems.
His (now ex) girlfriend took out more loans over time with wonga, using my sons account and paying them back with no problem.
Recently, Friday, she took out a £450 loan using his account and has ended the relationship. She has said she will pay it back, but has also left personal effects with him, saying that he can sell them to pay it if she doesn't.
He will struggle to pay this loan out of his ESA if he has to.
Any ideas of a plan of action for him?
Thanks!

Other than ask her to pay it not alot you can do, could try small claims court but then it depends if the gf has the money to repay it or not. So she accessed his wonga account ? Shouldn't share log in details purely for this.0

Well obviously he should ebay her stuff. And learn a big lesson about not letting 'friends' use your account.
He also needs to tell Wonga asap that he cannot repay the money, offer them £5 a month and supply them with proof that he is on ESA. Cancel any CPA (continuous payment authority) that lets them take money from his bank account. His bank HAS to let him cancel this.
he has good grounds for a complaint against Wonga, as there is no way they can have asked about his circs if he is on ESA. Get him to complain - the madder he gets about this sort of thing the less likely he is to fall for it in future. Also learn the lesson not to bother with girlfriends....women and money are a bad mix."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

LOL,
Some excellent advice here, especially from Sabbathdei LOL here here!
You should cancel the CPA with Wonga directly as well as with the bank and they won't hassle you to pay before the due date (which is when btw?).
Ok, on a more positive note - she has repaid in the past and while she has said you can sell her stuff if you need to I wouldn't necessarily take this to mean she is gone completely? Have you spoken to her since the split? If you're only hearing from your son then it may be a little.. Out of perspective?
I'm not sure I'd go rushing down the complaints route because he has been obtaining money for someone else which is a bit money launderingy isn't it? I'd try keeping a civil tongue with her the ex as it will be easier to get money back
On the plus side, Wonga are one of the better payday lenders when it comes to setting up a repayment plan so it should be possible to get something in place...

I assume that your son has now made sure that other people can't log in to his account.0 -

She should create her own Wonga account and take out a loan in her name to pay him off, and then she can deal with the problem if she can't repay down the line.0
