My mother in law is coming to live with us and I was wondering what would be a reasonable rent to charge her. This will include everything, gas electric, water, broadband, cable tv, and also meals. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Does rather depend on what you're spending now and how much you anticipate it increasing by. And the living arrangements - granny annexe with own phone etc or just a bedroom and sharing everything else. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
£287:21/month. Plus deposit for damage...
Mum-in-law coming to live with you?? Either...
a) Say no: No, you mean No!! No, really, NO!!!!!
or, b) Find a good divorce lawyer as that marriage ain't gonna last much longer...

Unfortunately she has nowhere else to go at the moment. She will have a bedroom and a living room for herself. I know it's not for everyone but my wife and I are determined that we will live in separate parts of the house and are united that if there are any issues she will have to find somewhere else to live.0

Charge her a third of the bills less the mortgage.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

This clearly never works with females, but were the genders the other way round you'd have had a great opportunity to find out what your partner would look like & behave like in a few years time.
Local council homeless unit: get her to "present as homeless" and see what happens (in Dave's caring Britain......)0 -
