Leek & Potato soup..can u freeze it?

Options
Does anyone know if you can freeze leek & potato soup? My recipe has half a pint of milk in, will this freeze ok?

Also, i know you shouldn't put milk in a flask (so mum always told me), will this soup be ok to take to work in a flask or will it go funny?

Sure it'll freeze. I still have 2 portions left in the freezer from my last batch. No bother with having it in a flask either. I never heard of not putting milk in a flask... everyone I know, even if they only use it for tea and coffee, always puts milk in.

    Thanks

Perhaps milk in a flask is something that my mum heard and never forgot...she does say some strange things sometimes...more fool me for believing!

I think it freezes fine if pereed, but the potato goes a bit yucky if not. I think the milk in a flask thin is milk on it's own - cos that turns into yoghurt!

    Ness,
  • I always freeze mine though i dont put a lot of milk in my i just blitz 1/2 of it to make it creamier. If you have larger lumps of potato in it they can go a bit funny so keep to smaller chunks.

Soup is fine to put in a flask my dad always had soup in flask for work inteh winter adn mum used to send us to school with some in the cheaper kids flasks and all was fine just will separte a little if left for too long and gets too cold
