Don't Use Mouthwash Regularly

I used to get nagged by dentists for not using mouthwash, but every time I tried to use it I ended up with a mouthful of ulcers. Tried quite a few types, but always the same result. I'd leave it for months, have no ulcers in the meantime, try the mouthwash again and have a crop of them within a day.
The dentist I see now doesn't agree with mouthwash at all (except the medicated ones for treatment of medical issues). He says brushing, flossing and tongue-brushing gets the mouth clean, sugarfree gum keeps it fresh between cleans and that bad breath is a sign of other problems that need treating, not covering up. He's quite adamant that a healthy clean mouth doesn't smell and mouthwash is another example of the beauty industry trying to sell us products we don't need by creating paranoia about problems we don't have.
I love my dentist!Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0
