What to do next.......

My husband and I have managed over the years to accrue vast amounts of debt (15,000) long before I found this site we were terrible with money and wasted it. Thankfully this has now changed our circumstances are now that I work part time but on a decent wage we get TC and also Child benefit. OH works but self employed and as his job relies on the great british weather we have learned to live without it so when he does get any money this is treat as an extra. Because of the continued difficulties most of the debt is now with collection agencies and we pay them all token amounts each month we have been led to believe that once there they don't accrue interest or charges any more and from the balances that certainly looks like the case.
The creditors seem OK with this they would like us to commit more but although I would love to this isn't possible because when OH doesn't work it would cause us to default on arrangements which would lead to trouble.
Two of OH debts are CCJ's and I think this may be a good place to start one of these is Lloyds CC balance £2500 ish they have offered if we have £1800 they would settle and clear it saving us £700 so is it wise to save a lump sum to do this we are just so confused about it.

Any help gratefully received

You would need to find out how long LLoyds will hold the offer open for. Some banks only make an offer that is valid say for 90 days. If this was the case, could you save the money in time? If not then probably carry on as you are
