Thanks firefly. I do use the ticks and crosses on here too, I just like to keep a record on paper. The comp guide has been very useful. Not sure if it was on there I saw it, but today I've set up a signature on my email to speed up email comps.
thanks BFlying
if you're happy keeping a written record that's lovely :j
think we all have our own little ways of helping keep track for what we do,
(along with the ticks & crosses of course)
& tbh i've often 'jotted' stuff down in my notepads for ref:/etc,
whatever/whichever you choose have fun & enjoy :j
here's wishing you lots of lovely wins &
happy compingx

Hi,BFlying.Hope it is Ok to ask but what is the ultimate aim of keeping a record of what you have entered?
Is it just totals that you are after or specific comps so you can check back after a win?
Hi. It's totals mainly. Plus I can see how many comps are ending on a particular day. I like the way of keeping track on here, but when I'm not on the computer, I can look at my progress written down.0 -

I keep a tally of how many competitions i've entered that day - and I work by end dates so I keep a track of what date I am up to.Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!0

No I don't keep records of what comps I enter, I just enter and forget about it. The ticks and cross system on here is a godsend.
A couple of times I've received wins and not even remembered entering the comp, makes it more of a surprise!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
I used to keep a spreadsheet and enter all the competitions on there I entered. Was I MAD! There's no need, enter it (or not) and move on to the next. All this recording results in you having less time to enter more competitions.
I enter competitions as they are posted and bookmark those I can't enter (not open yet/confusion about answer or for whatever reason) - I therefore go back to the last competition I entered and work forward to page 1 (I rarely get there though, I'm always miles behind - life just gets in the way!)Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

I do this too, posters will often ask why the post has been thanked X number of times but no queries have been raised about the website not working or the answer not being there on the website, or a multitude of reasons, it's because of people like me (and grannybiker and no doubt a host of others) thanking and not wanting to enter.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

I use the thanks and tick boxes to keep track of what I have or haven't entered (and because I like to thank each poster for their efforts) but I never count up how many comps I have entered so I don't have a clue how many I enter daily/weekly etc. I just know that I enter lots and lots and lots throughout the year.....and during the Advents it changes to lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots! Gasp!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
