My wife works as a carer, and tjhe employer pays 25p per mile. I heard she could claim an additional 20p per mile by filling out some forms.
Is this accurate? And how would she go about it?

she could claim tax relief on the 20p (applies to first 10,000 miles)
so if she is a 20% taxpayer she would get back 4p per mile. If she is not a tax payer then there is nothing to refund
