Thank you for posting this - I just tried the 3 mile walk and found it really good, nice and sweaty now
Would recommend it to those not into high impact aerobics or difficult to follow dance routines. Good fun!0 -
Just wanted to say - dont underestimate the power of walking to get fit and loose weight.
I was reasonable fit when we bought our dog eighteen months ago but walking him every day meant I lost over half a stone in about 6 months without really trying.
Do it every day and walk briskly some of the time so you can feel your heart pumping. I have no doubt that walking in the fresh air is good for you mentally too.0 -
Thanks for posting, this looks good! Think I will try it out tomorrow! X0

Thanks for posting, looks fun.
I just tried the One mile - I'm rather hampered by two duff ankles and a duff knee and am paying for physio and a PT to strengthen arms, shoulder, legs and core. I love waking and not being able to go very far means that I now eat like a sparrow to maintain my weight.
I am gradually building up my outdoor walking, and this will be a fun way of raising my heart rate, 'tho I need to be careful with the impact:(. Just managed the 5 minute warm up and will see what repercussions (none I hope) that I get pain wise. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I'm a big walking fan. My tip, if you haven't got a dog, is to try to pal up with a walking buddy. I go out with my neighbour at 6.20 am Monday - Friday (she does it all 7 days) for a 40 minute brisk walk. It's definitely the walking that helped me get to my goal weight - I lost 3 stone - and keep the weight off for 14 months (so far).
I've also got a Fitbit which I love. Even on the days that I don't power walk with my neighbour I still try to reach 10,000 steps.0 -
Thank you for posting this OP, I've started today with the 1 mile walk and surprised myself that i managed it all the way through. I walk at least 8k steps each day to work and back but this is just what I need to step it up a gear. I'll do the one mile for a week and then try 2!
I really hope this is something I can stick too as I really need it!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
