my beetle is going to the garage tomorrow to get repaired after someone drove into it parked outside my house at the beginning of december

You could freeze them: Place one egg yolk in each ice cube cavity of a clean ice cube tray. Add a pinch of salt to each yolk (if you plan to eventually use them in savoury recipes) or a pinch of sugar (if you will use them in sweet recipes). Freeze overnight until solid, then transfer to an airtight freezer bag.

We have had some radiators replaced. The old ones are sitting at the edge of the path. Fitter reckons they will disappear within a day. They have already been near the house and behind a car for a few days, but now they are in broad daylight just waiting to be taken. Hope someone grabs.
If you lived near me, they'd be gone in minutes. We are still plagued by scrap collectors around here0 -
