Valentine's is coming, but has using vouchers finally broken through the last taboo? Is it acceptable to use a 2for1 voucher on a first date? We asked this last year - let's see if it's changed...

Imagine Ollie asks Samantha to dinner on a first date, saying he'll pay. When the bill comes, he pulls out a 2for1 voucher – what advice would you give Samantha?

    My answer:

If it were me paying and using a voucher, I would take the bill over to the till/servers station/bar and pay there, rather than doing it at the table, so the other person wouldn't know I was using a voucher.

Either that, or would take a look at the bill and ask my guest a simple question

"How fast can you run in those heels?"

Could you ask a sa to scan three? You could say that every time you have bought them in the past they have always been in the 3 for £10 (which they pretty much have been:)).

So that means that Samantha can save the voucher that she has for the next time they go out....
You see if it was a going dutch type meal Sam always goes prepared with a 2 4 1 voucher to cover her half of the night....

They are clearly a match made in voucher heaven...in fact the only thing that they will possibly ever argue over is who gets control of the hand held scanner when shopping!

Ive clearly been off the dating scene for far too long...its second nature now if we go out for a meal to say "have you locked up..and got the voucher?" to eachother as we leave!
