Not sure if anyone has answered you yet but I usually use Alibrisuk,
Click rare books, fill in either author name, book title, if 1st edition, just inside the first few pages you will find the book printer name usually above that there will be numbers, this will tell you what edition it is, if not a 1st click collectables then sort by uk sellers, this will cut out all the usa sellers, who seems to overprice everything, there is also more option at the top of the screen to help locate exactly what you wanted, like condition of book, this will give you a good indication what each book is worth
Thanks for this, I was wondering the same today. I have a French dictionary, leather bound from 1880-something and I've not found it anywhere. Been curious about it, though part of me wants to keep it as the translations are brilliant e.g how to say 'how much is the boy' in French :rotfl:'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

I am not bothered about £8 (in the grand scheme of things) I know some are
As my old mate Dumpy said we are in it for the long haul.
He may not have used those words but we are singing from the same sheet

I reserved a single fran bed in my John lewis outlet. Cost £90 down from £250.
Thing is I want a matching 2nd one. So when is John Lewis likely to have an offer on furniture? Don't want to pay £250
I don't want the cheap copies on ebug.
I know they do various offers throughout the year as I got blinds about 8 months back with 20% off.
