I got 76, yes - seventy six, packs of gents socks in one go.
    Priced at £6, £8 or £10.
Done at 11.30pm. Self scan supervisor gave me an odd look when I rolled up with my trolley, but didn't check his screen or he would have seen 4p appear quite often!:rotfl:

My local charity shop was well chuffed when I handed in 53 packs.:j

wow thats impressive my best was 54 lindt teddies last year, i got quie a few of the socks and remember the mens pyjamas 10 pairs of those that a friend took to the homeless hostel she works
the other day a very elderly gent came in wearing a pair under his clothes , :D i think it was "try by day score at night" on them she said he must be in his 80s and he said to her i am still trying you know with a big wink:rotfl:

it is lovely to see the elite spreading the love with their finds whether its family , friends or charity's

Yes I remember those from a couple of years ago well done you:Tas if I remember they had hanging hooks on them that kept getting caught in the basket:eek: and when you are trying to speed scan can be quite a hinderance;);)

the 4p socks were fab. soooo warm. I gave them as xmas presents for all the men in my family (most of them work outside, on oil rigs or engineers of some sort and are in and out of the cold). plus my neighbour got some cos she always has freezing cold feet:p

My recent C&C shows £5.20 v £3 AvM from earlier so as it uses MyS and there is no mention of 2 for £6, it should compare as above. Good luck :D

    Afternoon all :)

Round 3 of the penny hunt for me (and probably my last for a bit). I have a quick n00b question for you all, with the hand held scanners do you use them just to check the price or do you use them to scan and pay for shopping as well? Not used them before and don't want to get clocked! Thanks in advance :)
I used the hand held scanners and then went through the scan and shop checkout no problem. I got 5 1p items and then I did my normal shop, so when my shopping got uploaded onto the till, the 1p items were too far up the list to be seen on the screen, iyswim. Happy hunting.;)
  • Yay! Got my burgers! They look great, and looking forward to them for tea! One extra small TvM in our favour... tomatoes remain on offer @ £2 until 11/02 (I too am finally Parioli less - sob!)
