Was that through the tills or just on the hand scanner?

It was through the ss tills, I guess they must've changed at the store. It had the stickers over the barcode as well

A call with our intrepid reporter out in the field has revealed many items scanning at 1p. And thanks to you all I was able to play at 'mission control' and relay some of the newer items direct to the lovely PD.

More on this and other stories tomorrow.

Hi Em, your letter was lovely and the bag of chocs I'm going to give to the grandkids. :A Now tell me more of these 1p finds.:)

My pleasure scamps :) I hope you can make use of some of the coupons I popped in.

I think PD has only gotten stuff that's already been reported but I'll let her confirm. Thanks to you I managed to tell her about the headphones and two seconds later she picked some up!

I agree with sc that this is a big jump. Also, taking an A leve learly might count against him for progressing further as some HE centres want to know how many A levels are achieved at one sitting.

This page has a list of subjects. I don't know what you mean by get the coursework for free. Taking a GCSE that he likes may be a good idea but be careful as a poor grade in one subject may get taken into account later on by pulling down his GCSE score. So if he does one you can find practise papers online to check he'll get a grade of C or better.

There's also a range of similar courses at the same level as the GCSE. I'd maybe ask around the studentroom website if there's any that don't have controlled assessments or check the prospectus from any local sixth form colleges to find out what can be offered that might not have coursework.

I have a maths geek child (DS2), but heavily (forced) encouraged him to do other activities/hobbies as he would have hid in his room all of his life. He is now doing pure maths at a good uni, has friends and hobbies.
All you needed to do was ask, SSM....

    I did say that, while I didn't know, I knew a man who would.:T

I am sure you will be called upon to help with many decisions! In the summer I need to find some garage doors that are reasonably warm... so we can put instillation in and not freeze in the winter pmsl xx

Went to Dr. tonight, just not getting better.
Gave me antibiotics which I had to collect across the road in TESCO!
So along with meds I was able to do a burger shop and get some 10p xmas items for a £6.10 PP.
Only wish I'd known about all the 1p chocs at the time, its going to be a while before I get out again, meds for 7days, including Saturday which is my birthday :(

From 2 stores. but not saying which ones. ;) All the T's around here were stripped of the xmas chocs yesterday, not by us but by staff. Don't matter I suppose, it's hit and miss all the time anyway. :rotfl:

Phew!:D:eek: Now to catch up (sometime, never:(:rotfl:). I also now have an 'Aldi cheaper' list (of about 50 items) - may get to that once I take a bit (lot?) of a rest!:):):)

Onto Avs T (but may be wait, wait, wait, as may need to give it a few days to go into APG) - Loose Iceberg Lettuce 50p vs 50p (for 45p) as Aldi apparently on 49p at the moment. And A5da Celery vs T at 50p (but I think that's not the lowest T has been!).
