My last lot of vouchers were £6 off £40 spend but I have a feeling my next ones might be higher as I have actually spent quite a lot at Ts this month with all the DVD and xmas bargains.

Will have to hope Mr Tinyshoes's card will produce some decent ones, his card has not been in Ts this year yet. :rotfl:

You could use them on a £50 online order that is going half price so £25 would become an £18 spend. ;)

I know TS...then there's that handbag that I have to return etc..it's just the cupboards and freezers are full to overflowing. I'll need nothing for weeks.

The photobucket thing us just a monthly limit...I hope:)

Oh what does that mean TM, remember someone else saying that the other day think might have been Mrs Stinkface. :(

Not me TS. I was having problems with it loading up. Seems to have sorted itself out now though.
My CC APG for shop on Friday (last) showed for 2 days then disappeared? The one I collected yesterday is still showing in my account, so I have no idea if that will go, or when & if they will come back? So I'd also like to know if anyone has the answer please.

If you clicked to get the 1st apg then it should appear in your account hopefully tomorrow, maybe thurs :)

  • My Tosco seem to have took all the 1p items from the shelves and removed all the SEL.

Absolutely no trace of them and I know they had loads of the Lindt Caramels and Thornton Toffee sticks.

Also it may be worth checking Thorntons Special Toffee as these had a SEL of £3.00 but were scanning at 75p at the weekend, so could possibly be another 1p item as these were also gone from the shelves.

What do they do with all the stock. Do the staff keep it for themselves?

    Hi,

I don't know if anyone can help , but my 14 year old DS hasn't got any hobbies so i suggested he do another GCSE in his spare time. He is happy to do this but we couldn't find a GCSE that he was interested in that didn't have a controlled assessment. The only one we can find in an A'Level in Pure Maths and Statistics. It would be a good challenge for him and give him something to do rather than play the computer.
The only problem is he is so MSE he won't let me pay for the course. ( I am allowed to pay for the exam). So does anyone know of where i could get the coursework for free?
    Thanks in advance.

I agree with sc that this is a big jump. Also, taking an A leve learly might count against him for progressing further as some HE centres want to know how many A levels are achieved at one sitting.

This page has a list of subjects. I don't know what you mean by get the coursework for free. Taking a GCSE that he likes may be a good idea but be careful as a poor grade in one subject may get taken into account later on by pulling down his GCSE score. So if he does one you can find practise papers online to check he'll get a grade of C or better.

There's also a range of similar courses at the same level as the GCSE. I'd maybe ask around the studentroom website if there's any that don't have controlled assessments or check the prospectus from any local sixth form colleges to find out what can be offered that might not have coursework.

    Thanks silvercar,
He is taking his maths gcse this year and will do another maths exam next year, the advanced maths i think.
He wanted to do Gcse statistics but this now has a controlled assessment in it so school won't help( they initially said yes until they found this out) and i can't find a distance learning course because of that.
I'll look into the astronomy, maybe i can find a local college that does an evening class in this.

Just a thought, there is more than one examining board, no harm in ringing another one and asking them if they have a course with no controlled assessment. Each examining board should also have a list of centres that will allow external candidates to sit exams in their centre.
