I'm loving this day! My eldest brother just turned 47, another brother just got engaged and the pub where they're celebrating is literally a 30 second walk from a Ts with a scanner. :j

as above, don't forget scanners sometimes lie, but it seems that in all cases the ss till is cheaper!!!

I need a bit of advice from all you Elite cooks, pretty please. I have been desperate to try out the gammon cooked in coke and today is the day. I've got everything set now and bubbling away but have just realised that the recopies say unsmoked joint, whilst I picked up the smoked joints.

Is it going to make any difference? should I just give up now?

Opinions, thoughts, comments or general amusement at my expense all welcome :D

Hi I have only used smoked & we love the taste.

Hi to Caribbean backwards sorry to here about your accident. Hope you're better soon x

Back too late to report the Lindt balls at 1p (sigh). Hope some of the following are new 1p finds:-

Tesco finest cranberry fudge with courvoisier BBE 11/14 BC 3680
8 paper plates barbie pink BC 0820
20 plastic cups red band white stars BC 2966
2m gift wrap cream with brown/beige flower motifs BC 2594

The fudge wasn't reduced - just on normal confectionery aisle with the boxed chocs - looks lush!

    Hi,

I don't know if anyone can help , but my 14 year old DS hasn't got any hobbies so i suggested he do another GCSE in his spare time. He is happy to do this but we couldn't find a GCSE that he was interested in that didn't have a controlled assessment. The only one we can find in an A'Level in Pure Maths and Statistics. It would be a good challenge for him and give him something to do rather than play the computer.
The only problem is he is so MSE he won't let me pay for the course. ( I am allowed to pay for the exam). So does anyone know of where i could get the coursework for free?
    Thanks in advance.

I would be trying to widen his interests rather than pursue another academic topic.

That said, I would be wary of A level maths - maths has the biggest jump between gcse and A level than any other subject. If he is only 14 would it make more sense to take his maths gcse early and then do advanced gcse maths at 16 or an alternative mathematical subject like gcse statistics. How about a different subject like astronomy?

Evening all, glad to see the Ariels are on again! :j

Could anyone help with an online apg question? I have one apg that is not yet showing in my account (I am expecting it will appear tues pm as usual). If I do another order for tomorrow morning will both apgs be ok? I don't want to override the last one so maybe should wait until it is showing?

    Any advice very welcome!! Thanks
