My impression is that they just signed a document without reading it, and there appear to be many like that.
It's obviously nowhere near payday loan rates, and indeed the apr on many overdrafts that people avail themselves of could be higher, but it's stupidly high for the relatively large sum borrowed, hopefully they'll learn from their experience but many don't.0 -
