Asking your witnesses...

Im doing very special invitations for my bridesmaids, and id like to do the same for our witnesses, however, i found the perfect little poem for asking my bridesmaids - to print and slip in the invites - but i cannot find anything for the witnesses!

Did anybody do this with their witnesses? Or has anybody seen a poem like this?

I'm confused, usually the bridesmaid and best man are the witnesses and don't get sent invitations.

I'm having different witnesses to bridesmaids and best man. The bridesmaids are 8 and 12 and the best man can't read. Everyone who is coming to the wedding got an invitation even the best man

Our two witnesses are very good friends of ours and both of them are chuffed to be playing a part, we're having two males as witnesses

My witness is my MoH's husband - I asked him by saying 'I was wondering if you could do something to help out with the wedding...' and his face looked unimpressed and So I said 'It's really simple, you'll just have to sign your name,' and his face lit up and he was really delighted.

I think girls appreciate little poems and stuff maybe, I think if you're asking a guy, don't bother - it's nicer to ask in person, and they won't appreciate the sentiment of the poem.

Thank you for your replies! we are having a tiny wedding and I wanted everyone to have a part so to speak, the witnesses are a couple so I wanted something special to add into their invite x

We've selected the cake
We've chosen the dresses
The speeches we'll make

There’s one very special
Job left to do
And this is where
We need help from you

We’re so happy you’ll be there
On our wedding day
Will you be our witnesses?
What do you say?
