Can I take money from my brother for my mortgage and not return?

Hi Experts,
I am new to U.S. as well as Real Estate (moved from India to U.S. last
year). I live in PA with my wife and son. I am buying a house in
Pittsburgh, PA. My brother is staying in MN (Minnesotta) and he will
continue to stay in MN.
My objective: Take money from my brother for downpayment and monthly
installment (for next 5-6 years) so that I end up paying less interest on
my mortgage? In-turn I am ready to have my brother 50% ownership in my
house by putting him on title.
Please review the following and help me out:
1. I do not save much; so my brother has agreed to pay 50% of my home
costs (50% in downpayment and 50% of the monthly mortgage/loan payment).
2. We have two joint bank accounts (one with me as the first account
holder and my brother as second holder; second with my brother as first
account holder and myself as second holder). I deposit my salary in the
account where I am first holder and my brother deposits his salary in the
account where he is first holder.
3. Togather we want to pay off the loan ($200,000) within 6 years span by
making $2500 each ($2500 I will pay and $2500 my brother will pay) per
month. I will pay $2500 from the account where I am first holder and he
will pay $2500 where he is the first holder.
4. Do I need to put my brother on the mortgage loan application? If I do
so; will my house in Pittsburgh be considered as an Investment property
since my brother will not be living here?
5. I want to include my brother on the title as well. I guess this way he
will have ownership on the house and I will not need to pay him back the
amount (downpayment + monthly installment) that he will be putting in my
house. Also I want to add my wife on the title. I want to say in title
that A) My brother owns 50% of my house and
Me-my wife togather own
50% of my house. How can I title my house?
Thanks in advance,
Roma

Sorry, this is a UK-based forum, so you may not find anyone here familiar enough with U.S Property/financial laws/regulations to advise you."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

In the UK you would have ot make the mortgage application in your and your brothers name to get his name on the deeds of the house.
