King Size Mattress for parents

I'm looking to buy a bed for my parents. They usually go for firm mattresses (poor backs unfortunately). We were looking around the stores, and quite liked a Silentnight one. However, it is evident from reading these forums that reliability is not very good with Silentnight Mattresses
Had a look at Mattressman.co.uk (highly recommended here!) and were impressed by their prices and delivery options. However, what mattress company will you recommend for sprung mattresses?
- Sealy
- Slumberland
- Airsprung
- Silentnight(!?)
- Rest Assured
- Millbrook
- Others?
There is a budget...but of course, if it is a v good mattress, I'll be happy to spend that extra if necessary. Thanks!

John Lewis do some firm mattresses. Can't remember the price but if you can get into a store you can at least try them. We were looking recently and still are but most shops say there is not much demand for a firm mattress! So far John Lewis is looking a favourite for us.0

We got our mattress from the mattressman website and its excellent. The delivery was fast and on time too. I'd definitely recommend them.
We got this one but I'd just put in the type of mattress you're after and go for the one in your budget range.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

We recently bought our daughter a new bed and used bedlum.beds on ebay. The service was superb, delivery prompt, price excellent, quality very highly recommended and excellent communication. And no it's not my company!:D0

We bought our new king-size bed in October 2005 and to date, that bed has had another 2 mattresses - we're now using the 3rd one. We went to Dreams plc, who seem to have an almost-permanent sale on.
We wanted a firm, pocketed-spring mattress, Ortho-Supreme divan set. Mattress made by Sleepeze. The first one proved faulty - after a few weeks the indentations did not go away and it looked as if 2 hippopotami had been sleeping there! Replaced after many complaints - 'not fit for purpose' etc - and after a few months the same thing happened to the replacement.
We now have a Slumberland 'Melody' mattress with pocketed springs and a layer of memory foam, it doesn't need turning. No problems with it.

Tim. What do you think of the Myers brand? I saw one of their mattresses featured in a Which? report which seemed to fare quite well.0

Myers are very good. However you can get just as good for a lot less money.0

Please tell me I need to buy a decent, but good value bed!
