Saturday Jobs, Paper Rounds, Work from home

My son who is 15 years of age is looking for a bit of work to earn some more money that he can spend when he goes out with his friends, so asked me to post on here for some help. I'll break the post down with a little dash between 'sections; so it's easier to read

He has searched for a paper round and can't seem to find any news agents who do them anymore - they're all giving the same response that news can be read and downloaded online for a fraction of the cost of a physical newspaper so they don't deliver them simply as too little people would want them.
So my first question - where else should he check apart from corner shops and convince stores? Is there any online sites that you can apply for a paper round?; sorry if that sounds a bit silly, we're not sure!
-
My son has also looked around for a Saturday Job. Not many people will hire an under 16, but we've heard KFC and WHSmith do, so he applied at KFC and they said no because of his available times, and WHSmith have no jobs available so we just handed in a CV.
For my second question - where can he try for a Saturday Job? I've heard local, small business are they best to try for, is this true? Where have people you know got Saturday Jobs?
-
Also, I and my son have been wanting to work from home. I was wondering how I could go about that? I've heard working for text companies such as 118-118 Questions/Directory you can work from home on your computer and the pay isn't bad.
-
All and any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you have a local paper? I think ours still does door-to-door deliveries of the paid edition, which was good money for my DS1 a number of years ago.
Also do you have a free paper? That pays less well, IMO, especially once you take into account the number of adverts you have to insert into each paper. More adverts = more pay, but still not a good payer IMO.Signature removed for peace of mind0
