MET Parking Sevices

Options
Hi,

My 18 year old son got one of these tickets in the post for supposedly overstaying in the Willesden Sport Centre car park. He is a student and certainly hasn't got money to throw away like this.

I have told him NOT to pay it after reading up on the forum its a spam company.

I myself received a ticket from another parking services company for entering and leaving a Budgens car park in Harlesden last year and was advised by my niece to ignore it as it was a scam. She explained that I would receive several letters, followed by solicitors letter etc and eventually they would stop contacting me which they have done.

The paper they print these tickets on is also flimsy, and it appears that the parking services company, legal team and debt collectors are all registered at the same address!!!! using same flimsy paper.

Please advise as am expecting several letters from them

Read the thread Redx points you to but be aware that advise to ignore is no longer current or correct.

Your son needs to Appeal (it will be rejected but should include a POPLA code), then use that POPLA code to win and have it quashed.

If he was using the sports centre whilst parked there then a complaint to them would be worth trying. This is AT THE SAME TIME as going through the appeals process, not instead of.

Why would you expect several letters - you should be expecting to appeal and win at POPLA now you've found this forum and read the sticky threads. And expecting to make a swift complaint about this harassment to the Sports Centre Manager - who may well cancel these routinely when customers rant. The two sticky threads (top of this forum) that I wrote last year, cover both those plans of action to get the silly fake PCNs cancelled one way or the other.

    No ignoring, no paying it!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
