My husband works from home 3 days a week I w wondering what we would be able to claim with regards tax? He uses our broadband, phone, electricity and heating while not in e office so can we get any VAT charges back for example? Is there anything else we can claim working from home?

Is he an employee or self employed?
Is he forced to work at home or is it voluntary?
Has he actually changed his broadband due to working from home? Electricity for a computer is about 2 quid a month, my laptop is about 85p per month0 -
Has he informed his insurance company that the home is now his primary place of work? Has he informed the Council tax valuation office to assess whether he must pay business rates for the part of the property used for business purposes (http://www.voa.gov.uk/corporate/Publications/workingFromHome.html).
HMRC routinely share information with other agencies. Do you really want to go down this route? He's saving his travel costs etc., whilst working from home. I'd call it quits.0
