Id speak to a union if you are in one. Some companies use occupational health as a means to support workers, others use it as a first stage to disciplinary, I do think you need to speak to a union, it may just be procedure that an automatic referral goes in if you are off sick.
You should also have the right to see the referral that the workplace made.0 -
as above get the union on the case.
Where are they planning to hold this OH meeting, you are sick so don't have to go into work(might actualy be a problem for insurance) and they can't insist on coming to your house.
It should be re-scheduled
what does your fit note say?
Go back to the GP to get it to include no work contact.
The key issue though is why your accuracy was not up to the performance required and why the action plan has not been working.
What support have you had in place, more training, mentors, work sharing anything that would help improve it before it is "released" for checking.0 -

But to be fair, the employer is actually doing what they should be doing. They have set targets for work performance which you are not meeting, so they have put in place a period of review to help you identify your errors and provide you with feedback on how you are doingf against the required performance. This may be upsetting for you, but it is what an employer is supposed to do if someone is not meeting the expected perfromance levels.
So now you are off sick, presumably with some diagnosis of anxiety/depression/stress, so the employer has arranged for you to be seen by their occuptional health advisors - and this is, again, what a responsible and reasonable employer would do. They have a duty of care towards all their employees, but certain diagnoses would trigger alarm bells for many employers.
The underlying issue here appears to be the performance problems - solve those and the anxiety goes away, and if the performance improves then the employer may be happy to reinstate home working arrangements. But the solution isn't likley to be that they accept lower standards, so what can they/you do to improve that performance to a standard that they are happy with? You have a break from work now to think about such things and try to find solutions - solutions can often evade us when we are stressed about things.0 -
It sounds like your employer is behaving reasonably to me - an early referral to OH in cases of mental illness is a good thing, to see if they can do anything to help you back to work. However the bigger issue is your performance - two weeks at home is not going to change the fact that you are underperforming. I would suggest it is time to look for another job, unless you can suggest anything that would improve your performance?0

If you are going to delete your posts, it would be polite if you at least thanked those that have tried to help.0

Agreed.
To overcome the problem, it's often a good idea for one person to quote an OP when responding. That way it makes some sense in a thread and, who knows, it may be helpful to others who come along later with a similar query.
That said, some posters do include too much which could identify them to their employer and so some care should be exercised and there needs to be some willingness to amend quoted text if requested on those grounds.0 -
So whats the state of play?
Someone is being micromanaged due to poor work performance, they feel hard done by and go off sick claiming stress/undue pressure from line manager following an OH referral?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

I hate it when people do this & nobody has quoted original post so we can see what was deleted.0
