Underpayment

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes.
I am paid four-weekly and get just over £500 every 4 weeks. Payday was last Friday and I noticed my wage was £200 short so I went in to see our wages department to ask why. Basic story is that my manager has coded my days off over Xmas wrong which has resulted in me not being paid for them. Me and my partner are currently battling our debts and sticking to a strict budget, after bills have been paid and I did a minuscule food shop I have nothing left in my account until my partner gets paid on the 31st. I have been into work again and explained the situation but they have said that all I can do is apply for a wage advance so I did, went back into work the next dy for an update to find that the head manager hasn't even passed my application on because 1-it's /only/ £200 2-by the time it is processed he believes my partner will have been paid so I won't need it until my next payday.
Am I wrong in thinking this is disgusting? Not only do they not seem to be taking me seriously but just because £200 is nothing to him, then it must be nothing to me?
Do I have any rights here? They have left me penniless with 2 children, yes ideally I wouldn't have the debts and would have savings for this kind of situation but unfortunately I don't.
