Credit file clean up help

just cleaning up my file seeing our br is coming off in 2/4/14 :j

i have already wrote to 2 creditors, not heard anything back as of yet though. There is 1 left that im not sure what i am supposed to do with, if someone can advise

It is Northern Rock, was the unsecured part of a mortgage, it shows up on equifax and noddle but nothing shown on experian.
This was a CCJ that was removed from the public records in December 2013, i would have thought that it should not show on our credit files at all now

Equifax -
Current balance £0
Credit limit £0
start date 06/10/2004
Status SETTLED
Default/delinquent balance £0
Default Date BLANK
Date updated 29/10/2008
Date satisfied 09/09/2008

All other boxes are blank or £0
calender shows '6' payments late and then 'S' in september

Noddle
Account start date 06/10/2004
Account end date 31/12/2008
Date of default 09/09/2008
Default balance £0

no other details payments say BB up untill September and then its blank and SF in december

Can someone explain what this means? im assuming noddle is wrong and the default date should be my br date, but it was already a ccj before the br date so im confused, i think the ccj was dated 19/12/2007

Will this drop off 09/09/2008 on both equifax and noddle?

thanks

  • If you read the sticky at the top of the board, it tells you want it all means.

noddle, which uses call credit, is notorious for being inaccurate.

i do wonder if the fact that you are to clean it up before they are due to drop off may be a waste of time?

I spent a good few months post the 6 years writing to the various creditors requesting that they make the entries in my file up to date. most did it, but some, Santander in particular, are really difficult to get to actually do anything.
  • Thanks, I have already read the sticky and written to my other creditors, I thing i was querying is why is Northern Rock still on my credit report when the CCJ for the account has long gone, surely the CCJ is the final outcome so I don't see why if that has gone why the account is still showing on Equifax and showing as default date after the CCJ date and BR date on noddle.
It won't come off till September so still 8 months away when my BR comes off in 2

They will both drop off 09/09/2014. 6 years from settlement on the Equifax entry and 6 years from default on the Noddle one.

Yes, if the CCJ relates the the unsecured portion these entries do, the they (a) should have defaulted the account, and (b) the default must not be later than the CCJ date.

So both entries are arguably wrong, in different ways.
