Credit file Cleanup £100 bribe?

Hello,
Am conducting my credit file cleanup post bankruptcy and discovered a commercial vehicle finance company had grossly inflated the default amount from just over £14k to nearly £20k without taking the value of the repossessed van off the default value - estimated value at least £10k and the £2.5k deposit I paid on the van to secure the credit initially.
I pointed this out to them, they have replied with an apology and an offer of £100 if I accept this as a full and final settlement of my claim against them. I didn't know I had a claim against them?
Am I being cynical in thinking they listed the default value so very high so as to write it off against tax and is this illegal? If it is, should I report it as it could affect others in the same situation?
And/Or, could I somehow get more out of them?
Whatever, £100 is a result as I wasn't expecting anything, but this seems to be a very easy £100 to shut me up...
