bailiffs arriving in the morning

hello all, me and my fiance have received a letter stating that a bailiff will arrive in the morning from 6am, and has been instructed to proceed with the removal and sale of goods. Removal may take place even in your absence, says the letter, it also states that payment must be made in full, we have four children and not much money to spare, can we offer a basic minimum payment? What is the best course of action, my fiance has been suffering with depression and has ignored all letters to her door fir a long time

again we cannot make full payment, we can afford maybe twenty pound a month, the bailiff is coming due to a parking fine, but we also have another coming for council tax, we are stressed and of course very worried, any help would be much appreciated0

Don't let them in. They cannot force entry, I believe, without the police there. Make sure all doors and windows are locked so that they cannot just walking. If you have to speak to them then do it via letterbox only . Keep them out, as once they are in they can remove items.
Do this until you can get help and advice tomorrow . To reiterate : DO NOT LET THEM GAIN ACCESS!old enough for my bones to feel the cold .0 -

Post up tomorrow for more advice and help.
Good Luck, it will be ok don't worry.0 -

That's correct. They can't get anything unless you let them in. And nothing short of a court order (i guess?) can give them the right to break down the door.
And get some recording devices handy. Cams, voice recorders the likes. Not saying something bad will happen, but if worse comes to worse, you got something that might help you.0 -

Hi OP
Did they turn up? what happened? did you keep them out the house? Did they post any paperwork through the letterbox this morning? as its a parking fine I guess your partner has a car and they may be able to seize that.
If they haven't turned up yet then it is advisable to park your car away from the house for a while.
This factsheet may help (or may be a bit late) regarding the parking fine bailiffs http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=13_magistrates_court_fineshttp://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=13_magistrates_court_fines
Regarding the council tax debt and that you also have bailiffs coming for that - please don't just wait for bailiffs to turn up, try to practively deal with this and get in touch with the council and offer a repayment plan. This factsheet should help you with the council tax debt http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=02_bailiffs_and_council_taxA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
