Thanks we will almost certainly have a deviding fence as they have already chewed a bit at the old rabbit hutch and don't fancy having to replace that sort of thing
How would I keep the soil clean enough for them part of me thinks that if I turned the soil over once they where tucked up in bed that would be good but part of me thinks that wont work ??? would prefer not to be sticking large amounts of tree in the bin each week think I saw someone somewhere say they had theres on gravel so they could wash it down is this a good idea would the chucks like that ?
area around will be wall on two sides and paving slabs/bricks on the other so actual think I might be alright rat wise (love rats am getting some but don't want uninvited wild ones !)

If anyone is interested in adopting ex-battery hens, Little Hen Rescue are looking for homes as they have 11,000 to rehome before 29th June. I think they charge £1.50 per hen.

Oh well, maybe I'll have to get the OH to have a go and see if he has chicken gender predicting abilities. Maybe the skill is purely reserved for men - they've got to be good at something after alll :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
