Hoping that some wise techies can help here please...
I recently changed from a local village based wifi internet connection to BT Infinity 2 and since then the media sharing between devices has gone haywire!
I used to have our main PC (which contains all my music files which I used to share with my internet radio in the kitchen) linked by cable to the modem and the radio used to be able to see all the folders to play the music from it.
Since I changed provider I now have this PC connected wirelessly to the hub as it's too far to run a cable and for internet use this is fine (20+ Mb/sec). But I can't get it to share any media, even files and folders are showing as 'shared' on the PC. The main PC runs Vista Ultimate.
My laptop on the other hand runs Windows 7 and my radio can see this machine when it's on and can access all the music on it (although much more slowly than before). My PS3 also sees the laptop but not the main PC anymore.
Thinking that I might have to upgrade the main PC to Windows 7?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks
