Hi all
I have my OR interview tomorrow and have been sent out a few forms for me to sign and return after the interview, think they are just standard forms, signing over disclosure of Tax etc. It says in the paperwork that i need to send 12 months bank statments back with the forms, its all standard and i closed my Halifax account the day before i went Bankrupt and opened a Co-Op account (as advised) changed direct debits etc, how would i get 12 months bank statements and if that definately whats requiered or it everyones different??
Any advice before tomorrow would be really really appreciated. Im so glad of this forum, id have been lost without you all.

The OR can get your statements directly from the bank if they require them, just send what you have and pop a note in explaining you don't have them0

Thank you, do they usually ask for that many months statements from everybody as a rule?0

I have OR meeting next week which is now a face to face meeting - they want bank statements, accounts records, tenancy agreement, details on liabilities...feeling anxious.0

Hi
I think i have just replied to your post. Did you do personal bankruptcy or business?
Have they said why yours is face to face? i was told mine could be face to face or over the phone. Mines tomorrow at 9.30. My stomachs in knots!!!!
Have they told you how many months bank statements you need to take? I closed my account prior to Bankruptcy and opened a co-op account (as advised) and have only two months statements.
Thinking of you, as i know how nerve racking it is.

My or wanted 2 years bank statements as I had closed my hsbc just before br and only just stated using the co op I provided 2 years statements from my old account, the or will want to see how you got to where you are now.
do not worry its all pretty routine they look for something that jumps out at them xx0 -
Different ORs seem to ask for different things. 12 months is certainly not unusual and it doesn't mean that the OR is going to look into your case in more detail than typically happens.0

I had a face to face meeting. I was happy about this (although incredibly nervous) because I have difficulties on the phone and always end up being clumsy and talking over people etc and not really being able to recall anything that was said.
I was told to take 12 months of bank statements. I couldn't provide them. It was absolutely fine. Just show willing to take what you have and explain if any are missing. My explanation was that I am utterly rubbish at filing and the OR didn't blink an eye. They can get them anyway.
I had to take a tonne of paperwork with me, all of which I added little post-it notes to in order that I could jog my memory when I was in the meeting.
Make sure you keep copies of anything you hand over.
It will all be fine. After the initial tears and snot, I found it very cathartic.AD March 2014

Mine was a telephone interview and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Because my paperwork was totally up to date I sent everything they asked for. Being extremely honest with them went in my favour when it came to agreeing my living expenses. The ORs are just like any other Government department; staffing levels have fallen & workloads increased. They would prefer to concentrate their resources on cases where the people are not honest & potentially have the assets to repay creditors, especially if one of those creditors is HMRC!0
