Never going to win...

I've been coming now for over 6 months and not had one win, I enter about 40 competitions a day, pointless post just feeling deflated xxxx

stay positive and one day you will be pleasantly suprised, maybe enter more than 40 a day, alot of people here enter up to 200 + a day, good luck

Spread the net, enter more... Look to Facebook and Twitter too, loads of competitions on there are very brief ones and even with the fantastic efforts of the posters, they don't reach MSE.

Look to the mag dailies and work your way through those each day too.
I restrict entries to what I'd love to win yet I still enter 100-150 per day. If you're doing 40, I'm guessing you may be cherry picking the most desired competitions, i.e. those with the most entries, so statistically you are less likely to win

The most important thing is to have fun though - I look at comping as a hobby I love - anything I win is a bonus

I do enter more competitions on days I don't have work etc, I started off entering about 100 a day, but due to kids and work it's about 40-50 a day, I think I better up my game haha. I also enter the facebook and Twitter competitions on top as well. So probably more than 40 a day thanks guys xxx

It has its ups and down. One day you will win something, you just have to keep at it. I last won in December, only a small thing. But that was the first in about 2 or 3 months. However, I went through a period earlier last year of winning loads! x

When you're feeling deflated, pop over to the IWIWIW board - that never fails to inspire me... Just yesterday, someone won £10k, last week there was a £17k and a £10k win. The prizes are out there, but it's just a case of luck. Maybe the comping fairy is holding off the small wins for a big win for you

Have you read 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne? I'm a big fan of that: it basically says you need to visualise what you want, act as if you've won it, and then you'll get it. It sounds very airy-fairy, but I quite like that theory, and it's worked for me in my short time comping.

I also believe in good karma, so instead of just reading the IWIWIW board and thinking my congratulations, I leave a message on threads. Good comping karma, I think... But I am slightly locked on the idea of fate at the moment, so you may not like my thinking at all

Finally, someone has a signature I love (JamboDavePrince, I think) that basically says "If I win something, that's great, but I do it for the fun." If it's not fun for you at the moment, take a break from it - otherwise it goes from being a hobby into being a chore.

I try to enter as many as i can each day, depending on my work shifts, I reckon I do 100-300 per day, did all the advents, only started in November, no wins at all, but will keep at it as I enjoy it and the excitement of checking emails just in case.

I must not be trying hard enough either I am entering on average 200 - 400 comps a day and I have won 4 Koala's this month so far.
