What gets passed to client from Recruitment Agent

I'll try not to differ about, I'm on a contract issued by an agency (so understand they are my employer? but they seemed to have washed their hands of me as soon as the assignment commenced) I'm just curious what gets passed to the client? do they get to know your back ground? recruitment notes? do they authorise the job? I didn't have an interview with the client employer so feeling very caught
I appreciate it maybe a difficult one - just hit a couple of awkward moments so far relating to core hours and actual job description, paperwork/rules seems to differ between the two and ultimately I'm worried about rocking the boat with either party as I had a situation today (maybe for the best, keep calm will survive somehow the last few months proves to myself I'll get up again) that I don't know what I'm walking into tomorrow
To be honest I've been over-whelmed at what I've walked into - would you be honest in saying that if asked if you were me?

Normal agency workers are paid by the agency who deduct tax and NI as though they were the employer. You may be an employee of the agency but not necessarily.
When you are placed in an assignment with the client of the agency, you are placed under "the direction and control" of that client.
Not sure what "paperwork/rules" you are writing about.
As far as what the client will have received about you is concerned, they may have seen a short version of your CV and received assurances from the agency that you are absolutely marvellous with all the experience that they need. It's very, very unlikely that they would see any interview notes but may have been told the results of any tests you took (if you did things like using spreadsheets).
For tomorrow, I would prepare by getting a good night's sleep and stay calm when back in the workplace too.0 -
I agree with LittleVoice on what we as employers receive on Agency staff.
If you are concerned about the work you are doing or any other part of your Terms of Employment then have a chat with the Agency as they are your employer and it is under their terms and conditions you are employed.:jI am an Employment Law Paralegal and an experienced Human Resources Manager and offer my guidance as simply that ... guidance :j0
