Hi Everyone,
I have recently been made redundant and was struggling to find ways to fill my time around the job hunting! So I have decided to give Comping ago, I have entered a few competitions in the past but never won anything or taken it seriously, so I was just looking for a little bit of help/advice, any would be greatly appreciated
Ps.. Sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place!
Thanks

im the same, took a second job but didnt work out so thought i would give comping a go, worked a few years ago for me
some basic advice i would give you would be to keep a list of all the comps you enter, you can do this on windows notepad.
use a mobile number for all your competitions (a lot of people here have a dedicated, cheap 2nd mobile just for comps )
& watch out for scam competitions, here is an example in the news http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/watch-out-for-the-asda-facebook-voucher-scam-114204409.html
if in doubt about a competition, just ask here - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1737890 -
Good luck
Personally, I don't have much advice... I also probably comp 'all wrong' in the comping purists' eyes :rotfl:
I keep lists of wins, but not of what I've entered... I use the tick and cross buttons on the comps board to keep track of that.
I do keep a list of instant win comps though, and a list of regular comps (e.g. there are ones on FB that only come up on certain days of the week, etc).0 -

Me too, making that list would slow down my comping  The ticks & crosses suits me just fine as I don't use any other sites, (Except Facebook & twitter, but most make it on here anyhow.)

A useful list here of comps on different days, so I don't bother to bookmark, just scroll to each day
Go through Dailies here every few days and pop a direct link in my own folder on favourites.
Like many others, I comp by end date, using links such as this, also in my favourites. I have more than one saved, at different intervals. I try and stay a couple of days ahead, but if real life is too entertaining and I miss some, I never "Get behind."
Dive in & have fun :beer:Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
first of all main thing is enjoy it doesnt matter if you have small or big wins the main thing is you enjoy it! ive been comping for over 35 years and though the way of compng has changed with the internet i still enjoy it. if i didnt id stop tomorrow! other main thing is more comps the more chance you havepma positive mental attitude counts for everything:D
