Disappointed by J2O win

Options
Last year I was lucky enough to win a J2O Facebook promotion and won a DJ to play at my home or party venue. I was told I has 12 months to use it so decided to save it for my birthday party in March (a milestone age but the least said about that the better).

My contact has been through The NDL Group who are arranging fulfilment of the prize. I finally today received confirmation that the DJ had been booked but was disappointed to see that he was only booked from 7.30pm till 9.30pm. Somehow don't think my friends will want to stop dancing at 9:30 !!!

I guess my question is : is this a reasonable interpretation of the prize ? I have asked for the DJs details to see if I can pay more for him to stay for the whole party but this may end up more expensive than just hiring a local DJ ! They haven't given me any of the DJs details but say that they have passed my phoine number to him for him to call me. So I am a bit stuck really !! And I'm worried my party will be a disaster.

Any advice much appreciated .
2013 wins: Teenage driving lessons, a signed copy of The Host, a weekend away, XBox charging set, a case of wine, Hello Fresh box, tickets to Viva Forever, lamps & handcreams, signed Salt Yard cookbook :) :T

If it was the J20 Kitty (terms and conditions below) - then you should get up to £650 worth, maybe 2 hours is all you get for that?

    1. Weekly winner: The best photo of the week will be selected by an independent party. Judging criteria – originality and most entertaining. The winner will be selected each Monday at midday from 11.02.13 throughout the competition period (on bank holidays winners will be picked on the first working day of the week) and will win a weekly prize up to the value of £650.00.
    1. The prizes will be selected by the promoter at random and will be subject to change throughout the competition period.
      Examples of prizes will be:
    2. Daily prizes: Amazon MP3 vouchers, Domino’s vouchers, Currys/PC World vouchers, grocery shopping vouchers for Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons.
    • Weekly prizes: Butler in the buff, karaoke machine, chef, inflatable hot tub, hog roast, barbeque and meat, DJ, iPod and speakers

If it is only two hours, I would try pushing it later... I can't imagine many friends would want to start dancing before 8.30, if you're having a buffet etc. You could always use a basic speaker set up before (and / or after) the DJ's set... :)

If £650 was for 2 hours who was I getting : Fat Boy Slim ? Went back to the company organising the prize and explained how disappointed I was and they said they can change it to a more local company who can do the whole evening. Great result, just needed to explain what I really wanted. Such a relief.
