Outgoing, energetic, creative person wanted - interview attire?

So the original job advert called for "outgoing, energetic, creative person". I have been selected for an interview, but now I think my usual black suit won't cut it. What would you wear in this situation?

Oh, I'm a woman btw.

    Edward Scissorhands outfit!

No. I wouldn't overthink it. I don't think your attire will sway them too much either way.
    Just go smart.
  • If your black suit is a nice suit (a modern, flattering style that fits you well - as opposed to a cheap boxy looking thing) then it will probably be ok but I would wear a bright shirt/top with it and some funky accessories.
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

  • Dress up with wearing a scarf as they seem very much 'in' at the moment - you can pick a number of quicky ones from pretty much any high street to jazz the suit up, you could also accessorize don't forget!

Just remembering my 'lucky interview top' : ) with alphabet numbers! - and I got more jobs wearing that then any other top, similar to this goes great with conventional black suit http://www.drcfashion.co.uk/tops/463-alphabet-top.html
  • Ooh thanks all! So you think I should stick with the suit and accessorise?

AP007 its a non profit org and the job involves working with young people.

That could mean come dressed as a clown if you say 'working with young people'

I would say a suit but use the personality you have to show you have what they are looking for not dress like a paint explosion

    good luck

As you're a lady you can most likely get away with showing a lot more flair than men can, so the suit and accessories suggestion ^ above isn't a bad one.

You could also do that but ditch the jacket and instead wear a waistcoat that isn't too formal looking if you have one.
    Oh, you wee bazza!
