Why can't GCHQ/Police use their snooping techniques to track down the bank transfers. At least freeze the funds pending investigation and prosecution. The perpetrators have to get a court order to release the money, and will just give up.

If we are lucky, their IP address could give away their location when they log in to transfer the money. Modify the bank's software, so the police can give them a list of suspect bank accounts. Direct them to an alternative website, so the police can entrap them, e.g. get the onward transfer account they want to send the money to.

Glad MSE are officially recognising this problem considering how some self-appointed 'experts' treated the victims who reported this issue, looking at the thread mentioned above, one even suggesting that the post about reporting the fraud to the police was an outright lie (and 5 people thanking them for calling a new poster a liar...).

Do you also wonder why when someone takes a blurry photo from far away they can't enhance it so it's perfectly clear like on CSI?
