How can i find news/g'ment interventions that affect one or several councils?

hi,
i have an interviewfor a finance role at a local council and i wanted to find out more about any g'ment interventions or rulings that would affect a finance department of a council?

i searched bbc news but theres too much irrelevent /unneccesary news

Have you tried looking on the Communities and Local Government department website (I haven't checked but I assume there is one somewhere)?

Many Councils are facing large budget cuts and reduction in funding so check the relevant Council's website for how they may be affected.
