Sky+ Question

Hi - I have Sky+ and when it was installed (last year) i upgraded to Sky movie package as there was then no £10 SKY+ charge.

Now they are removing the charge if i ring up and go back to the package we were on (family) will i then get Sky+ for free ?

Thanks
It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

What if you are on no package, using as freeview.

I would sell your sky box on ebay and buy a freeview/pvr box instead if you only want freeview.

I think there are some channels which you dont get with a sky box with no subscription. I believe sky sports news is one that you get on freeview but not on non suscription sky.

So are Sky doing Sky+ free for newbies too?I have the movies and spend £38 a month, my 2yr old would love Sky + so he could watch Dora whenever he wants, I'm not sure its a good idea, so have been holding off.

We have cancelled sky with effect from 10th July. Tried using sky plus with the card removed to simulate this, and its a nogo. Also, you cant play back any programmes you recorded when you were paying for sky+. I will check if this behaves the same after Jul 10, with the card in - which I assume means it becomes 'freesat' - I am told there are some channels you get with a 'freesat' card as opposed to no card.

footnote. No call back from sky yet to ask if we want to change our mind!. ....
