Hi
I wanted to know, are these courses funded by the job centre to those whom sign on or do we have to pay privately to do this, as it can be a hefty cost?
Thanks

Contact your local FE College as these are now fundable for people on active benefits or they may have specific funding available.0

also check out millies trust as they run first aid courses and are reasonably priced and all over the country after the babies family set up a trust. More about it is on facebook:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I done mine with St John's Ambulance in 2012 with a 3 year certificate - ran both evening and daytime sessions anyone could go, saw the poster near a town hall type of thing, try and find your nearest ST.JA office - it was completely free of charge too and covered adults and babies first aid/life saving0

Hi - do shop around - when I was looking to update my Emergency First Aid (the one day course, not to be confused with the First Aid At Work (the longer 3 day course)) I found the cheapest option was local adult education centres but unfortunately they only ran on occasional dates. I think if you were unemployed it was free and if you weren't it was about £40.TheEffects wrote: »Hi

Training companies were reasonably priced IF it was a group booking but as I'm a self-employed person it was difficult to find a course for an individual like myself that didn't run into hundreds of pounds.
In the end I found it cheaper to contact a care agency and ask if I could enrol on their four day training programme which covered first aid; moving and handling and care principles which they allowed me to do for £150 - that was cheap considering some places wanted more than that just for first aid (luckily I'm a carer so this training was helpful and I'd already done it before and it would have been due for an update anyway).0
