Wedding Paperwork - Invites, Order of Service, Table Things, Guestbook

What are you planning / did you do with each of the following?
Not particularly into saving huge amounts here but I have no idea where to even start! I know there are online places but I don't know if they will allow me to use the font and design I want.
With that in mind I am thinking of getting some nice paper and printing pretty much all of it myself. The only exception may be the invites as we don't want A4 and that will be in fancy writing anyway.
Any advice, links, in-sight into what you did would be very much appreciated
A +1 thanks to everyone who replies with the above

- Guestbook
- Anything else I may have forgotten

Are you having a church wedding? If not I would suggest saving your money on order of service, I'm not having them for our civil ceremony.PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

Invites - ordering from Notonthehighstreet.com
Not have table plan/name cards, there's only 20 of us for the sit down meal, so not point.
Might have a look around for a guestbook... or something along those lines.0 -
We got our invites off confetti.co.uk. Usually a higher priced website but we got our cards and inserts for under £50 in their sale section. We already had RSVPs that we picked up free but they don't match now and we moved so we are getting most people to text or email their RSVPs. All of our guest (excluding maybe 20 people) are from where we live so I see no reason to have accomodation/hotel info as its not really needed. If anyone wants this info, they can ask us!
We aren't doing an order of service (we might closer to the time depending on funds)
We are getting a table plan made for us though, not 100% on the cost but they are doing up a wedding card box for us pretty reasonably. Not having place cards though, just organising who is sitting on what table and then they can pick their seats!
Guestbook I bought off Ebay for £3.00My mum bought me a fancy feather pen then to match!
So far we've spent about €75 on that sorta stuff. Trying to keep it under €200 for all the extra wee pieces.
As far as I know, the only thing I have left to get for the invites is envelopes, stick on diamantes and a nice silver pen to write with!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Email RSVP is a good idea as 80% of our guests are local. Either that or they can just pass it back to us instead of posting.
We're having a church wedding so would like an order of service. I'll take a look at the websites though. I think realistically the only things we need are wedding invites (which I might be able to print on A5 paper) and place cards, which again we may not have.0 -
We're going to vistaprint our invitations (interestingly, the vistaprint postcards where you upload your own image seem to be the same as the wedding invites, but half the price AND you can get something printed on the back of the postcards for free! Bargin) but most of our saving is going to be from hand delivering as many invites as we possibly can... postage is just TOO expensive.
Our Save The Date cards (which The Boss irritatingly keeps referring to as our STD cards ><) were premium business cards from vistaprint, cost about £15 for 100 (including postage) could have done it cheaper and waited for a sale (which is what we will do with the invites) but I was impatient.
Order of Service, might not have one, as we can have a projector with a powerpoint presentation at church, so that'll do fine for readings and hymns.
No tables (we're having a really informal reception) so place cards would look quite silly.
And the guest book that I wanted (from The Bright Side... I love their stuff) came in my Christmas stocking... thank you Father Christmas!Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0 -
I'm making everything I can!
The save the dates and invites will be along the lines of this "be my maid of honour" card I gave my MOH.

The guestbook is going to be a picture of the house from Up, with ink for guests to make the balloons with their finger prints.
Haven't thought about the table plan yet - numbers I picked up a pack from America whilst on holiday for about £1, but I don't like the idea of numbers so might name the tables instead.
Name cards are probably going on the favours, which are going to be a silver bucket (you can see them piled on my desk http://instagram.com/p/h6uRzmFTcx/ ) filled with flavoured vodka and sweets, or as a name card with the "grape soda" pin from the Up film attached.I like to make money

I made my own Invites and Orders of Service. Bought the cards from the Works I think and printed the design onto them (which I found online) and added adhesive diamantes bought from poundland. I had looked at all sorts of ribbons etc but the diamantes were much easier and added a wee bit of interest to a plain card.
I also included postcard rsvps with a matching design but some people emailed their confirmation.
In the end I got the inside pages of the orders of service printed and added to the covers as I rang out of time.
My venue handled the table plan, I just gave them the names.
For table numbers, we named each table after a place we had been and printed and laminated a picture of us there with the name above it. I'm really glad we did it as it made it a bit more personal and gave a talking point at each table.
We didn't do place cards as I figured that was only giving myself needless work.
Main bit of advice is to do all of this as early as you can as things get a bit hectic!0 -
My mum is making our stationery for us and supplies will probably be bought from Hobbycraft (with me sending her links to some free fonts we might like to use and then all the printing for the insides being done at home). So far we're having invites and reply cards, orders of service, menus, table numbers/names, place cards and thank you cards.
We haven't decided on designs yet but at the moment I'm thinking of a fold-out/pocket invite and table numbers/names that double as menu. I know that ribbon will be involved as a decoration too, probably to tie the invites together or around the orders of service and name cards, and that we'll do the thank you cards with a photo of us from the day."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
As we are only having a small wedding i splurged on Exploding Box invites for ours
from a local company on facebook.
But then we did only need invites and Menus done! They certainly are not the cheapest things (especially if you need to post them!) but the faces of the people i gave them to was amazing! Well worth it, if anyone is interested in the company i can pm you x0
