Free legal forms?

If this isn't the right place, feel free to advise..

My friend is going through the process of declaring himself bankrupt and wants to write a book about his experiences.

He was wondering if there is legal document available which people could sign giving consent for their real names to be used in the book.

Free, of course, in a moneysaving stylee.

I know sadly legal services tend to involve spends but thought maybe someone can help?

Quite ironic if he became a multi-million £ earning author just after going bankrupt, but there you go..

He can make his own up surely?

He would be wise to get an independant witness to sign in case their was a problem later.

Type "release form" into google and there will be forms to give you some ideas.

You can use someone's real name in a book or article without them giving their consent - do you really think the newspapers, magazines, etc have to get consent from everyone they name? It's called freedom of speech and we are still allowed a modicum of it, though watch this space!
So you don't even need to spend on downloading a form and printing it off for them to sign.
What your friend writes about them though should be true and not defamatory in any way - details HERE. However as he's being made bankrupt he'd be considered a "man of straw" and not worth suing, unless of course the book is a massive best seller! In which case his creditors may also be well chuffed!
