Occupational sick pay entitlement

I'm currently pregnant and may need to have time off work due to a pregnancy related pelvic pain condition. I have been working for my currrent employer for a year last November (13) and my contract says that my sick pay entitlement is 2 months full pay and 2 months half.
However, last year I got quite poorly and had to have an operation so had about 6 weeks off waiting for and recovering from surgery. This was in May/June. I think my sick pay entitlement at this point was 1 month full pay, 1 month half.
So my question is, will I now be eligible for the next threshold of 2 full, 2 half or would I have 'used up' my entitlement last year? I've looked in my contract to see if it is a rolling thing or renews, so to speak each year and at which point but there's nothing in there. I've emailed HR but it's a bit difficult getting in touch with them... or getting a reply!
Just wondered if anyone had any idea? Not sure if there are any general guidelines or if it's very individual to companies etc. I work for a council
Thanks in advance
Clare

Hi
Normally, it's a rolling 12 months,
For example if you were off sick tomorrow, hr would look see what you have had off in the last 12 months and give you the balance, taking into account your latest entitlement of 2 months full pay and months half pay
Does that make sense?0 -
So if I'd had 6 weeks off in May/June 13, they'd take that from my current entitlement of 2 full and 2 half..making it 2 weeks full and 2 months half? Have I got it? lol sorry have been trying to find the info all day so head spinning slightly! Thanks for taking the time to reply..0

If you were off tomorrow, they would go back 12 months, if you had 6 weeks off in May/ June 13, did you get paid 4 weeks full and 2 weeks half? If so, you would now be entitled to 8 weeks full and 8 weeks half pay minus what you have had, so you would now get 4 weeks full and 6 weeks half
I think!0 -
