My daughter's boyfriend is going to university in america and would like to give him something to keep/memorable/unusual. Any ideas? He is well into football if thats of any use. She is making him a photo album. Any ideas welcome.

she could make a compilation album (CD) of favourite music. the music is a bit different there.
after he's been for a while she could send him a care package of some british sweets like trebor mints, or whatever he likes that you can't get in america - it's not something you can really keep though, eh.0 -
A watch/clock that she could set to UK time so every time he looks at it he'll be remembered of home.
I would second the food parcel. I think the photo album is a great idea, pics of his fav places, fav food, stupid pics that will give him a giggle.
She must be gutted he's going to Uni so far away but what a lovely idea to give a going away gift.0 -

it is a calendar that starts any month of the year and you could put your daughters name and her boyfriends name on it
they are a really nice present - have a look0 -
A beer bong for all the parties he will have.
or give him a kit to make his own large funnel, some wide plastic tube and gaffer tape. He will be very popular.0 -
how about two football shirts .. one english and one american."Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0
