How long does it take to get a V5 log book .
I bought a car in November I got one part off the V5 from the owner .I didnt receive a new V5 and I sent away my part off the V5 at christmas and have received nothing from DVL in Coleraine .
I had done a search and the car was not stolen or any loans on it .

Ring the DVLNI and see if ownership has been transferred to you.
If it has and the v5 has been lost in the post, the DVLNI will issue a free replacement if its within 3 months. If it runs to more than 3 months they you would have to pay for a new one.
Its a possibility the previous keeper hasnt sent off the v5. Its up to them to inform the DVLNI, not you.0 -
