Hatton Garden prices - match online prices?

I've never been to Hatton Garden before but we might be going there on valentines day!

We'd planned to buy our rings from BettsMetalSales (trade prices online registered as a hobbyist) but it would be more lovely to buy them in person.

Do you think any jeweller in Hatton Garden would match their prices if we printed off a screenshot of our shopping basket?

Eg
9ct yellow gold 4mm medium weight court size n (4.1grams of metal) with a polished finish £58.24
18ct yellow gold 2mm medium weight court size j (2.5grams of metal) with a polished finish £65.13
VAT £24.67
TOTAL: £148.04

Are any likely to be able to match this?

Thanks :)
GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125
GC2011:Sept:£215
Oct:£123.98Nov:£120Dec:£138Feb:£94.72

I would say almost certainly not. I got her engagement ring from hatton garden because she got to design it herself and we bought the diamond separately. But when we went back for our wedding rings they couldn't get anywhere near betts metal sales. Just received our rings and couldn't be happier with the quality and service

First off, have a lovely day. We went to choose our engagement rings there, and made a real day out of it. There's a nice caf! at the corner of Greville Street and Kirby Street which I recommend for a fortifying coffee and breakfast :)

Although I'd found a design I liked, we wandered up and down looking at all the shops, just in case we saw something different. I tried a few different styles on, so I could see them on my hand, and then decided to get something very slightly different to what I'd originally wanted.

We saw a very similar ring in a couple of shops, so played them off against each other a little bit. Both immediately offered a significant discount off the ticket price (this is very normal there), and we got a little bit more off on top of that. Incidentally, we also got our wedding rings there, and got a further discount for that, plus free engraving.

I'm sure you'll have a great day out, and end up getting more than you hoped for your money. Make sure to make it a pleasant day though - no worrying about bargains or aggressive haggling - what really matters is that you end up with a ring that you'll want to look at on your hand every day. And while you'll want to maximise your cash, don't worry about 'investing', after all, you won't be planning on selling it!

    Have a great day :)
