CSA Calculation under gross annual income scheme

Options
Hi, My Ex-Wife has recently asked the CSA to calculate my payments. When the CSA wrote to me they had a gross annual income approximately 6k above the gross figure on my most recentP60. I asked the CSA to confirm where this figure had come from, and theyadvised it was supplied by the HMRC.

I decided to give HMRC a call, and was told that the gross annual income figure they supply takes into consideration my company car, so in effect, I have to pay CSA and income tax because I have a company car for doing my job.

Does anyone know if this is correct, and what advice can you give. Is gross annual income now law, as I have 2 children.

My understanding is that the taxable car allowance will form part if your assessable income. It is a benefit you receive and as such you will be assessed on it. All new applications are now dealt with under the 'gross income' scheme - I suggest you attempt to negotiate a private arrangement.
