  • I've entered the last 3 days and won 2, going to stop now though as just wanted one for my daughter and one for bump on the way. :rotfl:

Bit concerned now though as read that the eyes aren't that secure, might have to do a bit of tugging myself to test

Has anyone won anything else on this comp or is everyone getting the Koala's?????:undecided

Thing is - if any poor parent buys one they will see they are not up to British standard - in fact they would be dangerous to give to any young child! If I had one to sell (which I don't as I donated mine to charity) I would sell them in the dog toy section starting at 8p! :D

...but then I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing a poor little innocent labradoodle might choke on the eye of a koala I'd sold to the owner!

Actually I am sure I saw one in the farmer's field I passed on the way home this afternoon - with a pole up it's bottom!

No - just koalas! I think the company must have imported thousands from abroad and are now trying to get rid of them quick before the British Standards Agency catch up with them :eek::eek:

Jess (my dog) has had two since before Christmas, although the hats are long gone, the eyes are still in place, saying that she is getting on a bit and her teeth are not what they used to be ;)

BB does that mean I can change my signature to 88p/£2014 :rotfl:

In the defence of the poor koalas, the one I received today has firmly sewn on eyes, I've tried pulling them off, and they haven't even come loose. I suspect they've learnt the error of their ways with the earlier batches? The bobble on the hat seems more likely to fall off than the eyes, on my one at least.

They don't have a kite mark, but they do have the CE mark... Interestingly, there is no guidance as to what age group they are suitable for.

LOL Mansey! 11 OMG you have 11!!! I'd have nightmares seeing 11 pairs of dangly bobble eyes glaring back at me!!!

If the latest have sewn on eyes then yes, the company have probably reacted to complaints - but I have to be honest and say I still don't find them cute!evil_koala_by_twycross888-d33221n.jpg

The real things are - significantly - cuter than the toys... But they are apparently quite nasty, if you get on the wrong side of them and give a nasty bite

Bluebella - think your old boy has got a bad case of plaque in his front canine teeth... :rotfl:
