Slimming World Green/Red sin books

My wife would like recent publications of Slimming World,'s Green sin a day eating plan and the Red sin a day eating plan. She envisages getting copies from someone that has recently finished a course. Her copies are from 1996 and outdated.
Before anyone suggests joining, my wife is now registered disabled and cannot walk unaided, we don't drive and the bus route that would take us there, stops at 6.30pm.
Yes we could walk there, but it is uphill on the return journey and I have angina. Apart from that, we feel unsafe walking about during the evenings.

Hi islandman,
Slimming World publish their Food Optimising book - you can get it here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Slimming-World-Food-Optimizing/dp/0091872545/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/203-4303539-2883901?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1182867213&sr=8-3
If you can't get hold of a copy of the normal "class" book, then I'd suggest getting the above book and complementing it with the Food Directory which you can order from Slimming World directly on 0870 330 7733 at £6.95 with £2 delivery - this lists all the syn values of pretty much anything you can buy, and non branded foods too. I have the class book, but complement it with the Food Directory.
This is a good forum for Slimming World support: http://slimmingworldsupport.editboard.com/index.htm
If you have any queries please PM me, I'm on the plan at the moment and enjoying it0 -
Thanks for your reply. She has the £9.95 Food Directory 1 which is not only old, but too large to take shopping. We've just looked at your links, no, I'll PM you. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

They produce books for specific supermarkets which are very useful. They are quite expensive but often consultants have old ones (the previous year) which are still 99% up to date but they will sell them off very cheap.
You could look on the Slimming World site for the classes nearest to you, get the consultant's phone number and sort something out - maybe pop to a daytime class to pick up the book or maybe if you explain your circumstances a consultant may pass your way to drop it off, who knows?0 -
Slimming world do do slimming world by post and then you will get the password to look at their website online.
I might have a more recent book in a cupboard, I will look Islandman and pm you if I find one. I know you can get supermarket books for Asda/tesco and don't thin they were too dear.
Maybe buy the slimming world mag next time you are shopping and you can order books from there or see how to join from home.
I think ajaxgeezer has a good idea about contacting a local consultant, they should be able to help somehow. Good Luck.0
