Do they have to keep to the same number of hours that I am contracted? Obviously they may have to change my hours to suit the needs to the place and fill any gaps.

What does your contract actually say? If you are contracted to work a set number of hours a week, then yes, they have to keep to your contract. The clock starts ticking when you arrive at work, though - IIRC the basic rule of thumb is that if your new place is within 90 mins' travelling time of the old place, you can't easily claim that the new place is unsuitable as a relocation. (This seems unfair to me!)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
